Terms of Service

Last updated 14 October 2026

Auriga's contract is with the coach. If you coach on Auriga, the Terms of Service below are the agreement you accept. If a coach has added you as an athlete, read the Athlete Acknowledgement instead.

Terms of Service for coaches

1. Who we are, and who this contract is with

Auriga is operated by 2 To 1 Powerlifting Ltd (company number 17483976, registered office 81A Adelaide Grove, London W12 0JX), trading as Auriga ("Auriga", "we", "us"). You can contact us at will@auriga.2to1.co.uk.

This contract is between Auriga and you, the coach who holds an Auriga account with coach access ("you", "the Coach"). It applies whether you use Auriga to coach other people, to coach yourself, or both.

You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this contract. If you are not yet 18, a parent or guardian must accept these terms as the Coach in your place, and every reference to "you" or "the Coach" below then means them, not you.

Auriga does not have a contract with anyone you coach. An athlete you add to Auriga ("your Athlete") uses the app only under the licence granted to you by this contract, on the basis of the Athlete Acknowledgement described in clause 2. Our only contractual relationship is with you.

Without limiting the effect of Clause 10 below, we accept no liability to any Athlete in connection with their use of Auriga in tort (including negligence), in contract or otherwise. You agree that you will not represent to an Athlete that they have any contractual relationship with or other claim on Auriga.

2. Giving your Athletes access

You may give members of your roster access to Auriga under your account, for the purpose of you coaching them. Before an Athlete first uses Auriga, you agree to have obtained their acknowledgement of the Athlete Acknowledgement (set out below). Obtaining that acknowledgement before the Athlete uses the app, is your responsibility, not ours, and is a condition to your use of Auriga.

Where you add an Athlete under 18, you agree to obtain their parent or guardian's consent before the account is created, and to have the parent or guardian give or confirm the Athlete Acknowledgement on the Athlete's behalf. That consent is your responsibility.

3. Coaching yourself

Where you use Auriga to record, manage, or review your own training, alone, on a Self-Coached plan, a Couples plan, or any other plan where you coach yourself on the platform, clauses 14 to 17 below apply to that use, and take priority over clauses 2 and 6 where they conflict for your own training specifically.

4. What Auriga is

Auriga is a training-management tool: coaches build and assign strength programs, athletes log their sessions against them, and both sides can track progress, competitions, and results over time.

Auriga is available for Athletes only after invite by a Coach: an Athlete's account is always created by their coach or an administrator, who sends them an invite link.

5. Not medical or coaching advice

Auriga is software for recording and communicating training plans created by a Coach. It is not a substitute for professional medical, physiotherapy, or coaching judgement, and Auriga itself does not provide fitness, nutrition, or medical advice.

Any program, number, or piece of guidance shown in the app to you or your Athletes is yours, not Auriga's. We do not review, verify, or take responsibility for any training content.

You should speak to a doctor before starting a new training programme, particularly if you have an existing injury or health condition, and you should tell your Athletes to do the same. You train, and your Athletes train, at your own and their own risk.

6. Your responsibilities as Coach

You are responsible for the programs, feedback, and guidance you give through Auriga, and for holding appropriate qualifications or insurance for the coaching you provide outside the app.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account, and for keeping your password confidential; if you think someone else has access to your account, you agree to tell us straight away.

You are responsible for your Athletes' use of Auriga under your licence, including their compliance with clause 8 (Acceptable use) and for obtaining the Athlete Acknowledgement as described in clause 2.

You are responsible for how you use and share your Athletes' data. Before you share an Athlete's logged training data, you will inform the relevant Athlete of why and to whom you are sharing it, and obtain their consent. Only share this information with the people your Athlete has consented to, only for as long as you need to, and switch the link off when it is no longer needed. Auriga's link settings and its confirmation box do not replace your own responsibility to get the Athlete's consent. Links expire automatically, after at most 30 days.

7. Payment, subscriptions and suspension

Some Coach accounts are paid for on a subscription basis. Where that applies, continued access depends on payment being kept up to date, in line with the plan you signed up for.

If a payment fails, we may terminate or suspend your access to Auriga and, because your Athletes' access depends on your subscription, theirs too.

We may, at our discretion, try to give notice prior to any such termination or suspension. In any event, your data will not be deleted immediately on termination or suspension; see the Data Protection Notice for how long we keep it. Paying brings access back.

Separately, we may suspend or terminate your account at our complete discretion, on reasonable notice where we regard such notice as practical. Where we do this for a reason other than your breach of this contract, we will refund a pro-rata share of any subscription fees which you have paid in advance for a period you have not yet used. Where we suspend or end your account for a serious or repeated breach of this contract, no refund is due.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Auriga to store or share anything unlawful, abusive, or that you do not have the right to share.

You agree not to attempt to access another coach's or athlete's account, and not to attempt to disrupt, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service.

You agree to take reasonable steps to ensure that your Athletes also comply with the provisions of this clause while using it under your licence.

9. Availability

We aim to keep Auriga available and working correctly, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may need to take it down for maintenance or updates from time to time.

Offline mode caches some recent data on your device so you can keep logging sessions without a connection, but it is not a backup; you should not rely on it as your only copy of anything important.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, and without prejudice to any limitations on liability expressed above, Auriga accepts no liability to you, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with this contract or your or your Athletes' use of Auriga, including for injury, loss, or damage arising from training decisions, service interruption, or data loss, and including any indirect or consequential loss, however it arises (for example lost profits, lost opportunity, or loss of data).

Without prejudice to the provisions of the preceding paragraph, if any part of it is found not to apply or not to be enforceable, our total liability to you for any loss arising out of or in connection with this contract or your or your Athletes' use of Auriga is instead limited to the total fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. For the avoidance of doubt, if no fees were paid in that period, we shall have no such liability.

Nothing in this contract excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (where it applies to you) or otherwise.

11. Ending your access

You can ask us to close your account at any time by contacting us. Removing an Athlete from your roster ends that Athlete's access to your data.

We may suspend or close your account as described in clause 7.

12. Change of provider, and changes to this contract

This contract was previously with William James, trading as Auriga Powerlifting, as a sole trader. With effect from 10 October 2026, the Auriga service and this contract have transferred to 2 To 1 Powerlifting Ltd, and 2 To 1 Powerlifting Ltd has agreed to take on this contract in William James's place. If you continue to use Auriga on or after that date, you agree to that transfer, and to this updated wording, taking effect between you and 2 To 1 Powerlifting Ltd. Without prejudice to such transfer automatically becoming effective in accordance with this paragraph, by clicking to accept these terms you confirm your acknowledgement and acceptance of it. If you do not agree, please contact us before that date, whereupon your account will terminate.

In addition to that transfer, we may update this contract as Auriga changes. Where we make a material change, we will tell you (for example by email or an in-app notice) and, where the change is material, ask you to re-accept before you can keep using Auriga.

13. Governing law

This contract is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.

14. Coaching yourself: status of this rule

This rider forms part of, and is incorporated into, the Coach Terms of Service. It applies to your own training specifically, whether you hold a Self-Coached plan, a Couples plan, or any other plan where you coach yourself on the platform. Where anything in this rider conflicts with the Coach Terms, this rider takes priority for your own training only; it does not change your obligations toward any other Athlete you coach.

15. Coaching yourself: you are your own coach

For the purposes of this contract, you act as your own coach with respect to your own training. Clause 5 (Not medical or coaching advice) and clause 6 (Your responsibilities as Coach) apply to you in that role, and any program, number, or guidance recorded for your own training is authored by you, not Auriga, and comes with no acknowledgement, review, or endorsement from us.

16. Coaching yourself: your own training decisions

You are solely responsible for the training decisions you make for yourself, including the decision to start, change, or continue any training programme. You should speak to a doctor before starting a new training programme, particularly if you have an existing injury or health condition. You train at your own risk.

17. Coaching yourself: coaching someone else at the same time

If you are also coaching one other person (for example on a Couples plan), clauses 14 to 16 cover your own training only. Clause 2, including its requirement to obtain that person's Athlete Acknowledgement before they use Auriga, applies in full to that person.

Athlete Acknowledgement

1. Your coach's contract, not yours

Auriga is training software your coach uses to build and manage your programme. 2 To 1 Powerlifting Ltd (company number 17483976, registered office 81A Adelaide Grove, London W12 0JX), trading as Auriga has a contract with your coach (the Coach Terms of Service) that governs your coach's use of Auriga in connection with your training. Auriga does not have a contract with you, and using Auriga does not put you into a contract with us. Your coaching relationship is with your coach, not with us.

2. What that means for liability

Because we do not have a contract with you, we accept no liability to you arising from your use of Auriga or from training decisions made using it. Any dispute about your training or your coaching relationship is between you and your coach.

3. Not medical or coaching advice

Auriga is software, not medical, fitness, or coaching advice. Any program, number, or guidance shown to you in the app comes from your coach, not from Auriga, and we do not review, verify, or take responsibility for it. You should speak to a doctor before starting a new training programme, particularly if you have an existing injury or health condition, and tell your coach directly about anything that affects your training. You train at your own risk.

4. Your data

We do collect and process some of your personal data as part of providing Auriga to your coach; see the Data Protection Notice for what we collect, why, and your rights. Those obligations apply to you regardless of the contractual position above: not having a contract with you does not mean we owe you nothing. Questions about your data: contact us at will@auriga.2to1.co.uk. Questions about your training: contact your coach.

5. What you are acknowledging

By continuing, you acknowledge that:

  • you have read this notice;
  • your coach holds a contract with Auriga, the Coach Terms of Service, which governs their use of the app in relation to your training, and you acknowledge that your coach is bound by those terms;
  • you do not have, and are not entering into, a contract with Auriga; and
  • if you are under 18, your parent or guardian has given the consent your coach needed to create your account, and has read this notice on your behalf or together with you.
